According to Oneida County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Derrick O’Meara, Director of the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center, a Rome man, and a Bernhards Bay woman were arrested on June 26, 2019 for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor. Oneida County Sheriff's Office Sergeant Melissa Bolton and OCSO Investigator Ryan Marshall, both assigned to the Child Advocacy Center, arrested Robert Russell, 69, of Rome, and Robin Staelens, 54, of Bernhards Bay after the two were found to be in possession of cocaine in the City of Rome. Both were issued appearance tickets, and are scheduled to appear in Rome City Court to answer their summons at a later date.
