According to Oneida County Sheriff, Robert M. Maciol on July 5th, 2019 at around 6:40 PM Oneida County Sheriff's Marine Patrol received a call for a missing swimmer in Oneida Lake's South Bay area. The Marine Unit responded within minutes to begin search efforts. Dive teams and other personal have searched for the swimmer, and at this time search efforts have ceased due to darkness. Search efforts will restart first thing in the morning. The swimmers information will not be released at this time, further information will follow.
