According to Sheriff Robert Maciol, of the Oneida County Sheriff's Office, Trenton Rd in the Town of Deerfield was shut down for a short time while a vehicle fire was being extinguished.

The Deerfield Fire Department was dispatched to the area of 5655 Trenton Rd in the Town of Deerfield for a vehicle fire, and the Sheriff's Office was also dispatched. When the Fire Department and Sheriff's Office Patrol arrived the vehicle was fully engulfed in flames.

The vehicle was a 2015 Dodge Ram pick up truck driven by Kristina Kicha, age 22, of Utica. Passengers, Mykola Kicha, age 25 of Utica, Marina Stamati, age 22 of Franfort, and Tetyana Ogiyevych, age 18 of Whitesboro all were able to exit the vehicle without getting injured.

From the Deerfield Fire Chief, the fire appeared to be electrical in nature. The vehicle was towed from the scene by Beacon Body Auto. The roadway was then reopened to traffic.
