According to Oneida County Sheriff, Robert M. Maciol the Criminal Investigations Unit arrested Tanyell M. Burnett, 18 of Rome on July 25th. The arrest of Burnett stems from a complaint that she filed on June 28th, 2019. After investigators interviewed Burnett it was discovered that she made the incident up. Burnett was charged with Falsely reporting an incident and making a false written statement both are class A misdemeanors. Burnett was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear back in Rome City Court at a later date
