Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol has announced the next in a series of “Sheriff’s Community Coffee” events. These unique events bring uniform Deputy Sheriffs & Correction Officers and the community members they serve, together–over a cup of coffee–to discuss issues and learn more about each other. These events have no speeches or specific topics – it’s just informal conversations with the members of the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office Law Enforcement, Corrections and Civil Divisions about who they are, what they do, and what matters to community residents. There are also no interruptions such as radios, patrol cars and cell phones for a short period of time so that we can be more approachable and have relaxed conversations with those we serve and protect. Most importantly, the “Sheriff’s Community Coffee” events are opportunities to build relationships in order to better problem solve with the people in the community. The Sheriff’s Office invites you to join us at our next event that will be held this Friday, July 26th at the Boonville-Oneida County Fair. From 10 am to 12 pm at the Sheriff’s booth located in the Kiwanis building. When you’re at the fair on Friday morning, stop by our booth and enjoy a cup of coffee on us.
