According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol on 7-27-19 at about 1414 hrs Emergency Services were dispatched to a water rescue on Oneida Lake T\Vienna. The report was a boat taking on water with 2 persons on board. Oneida County Sheriff’s Marine Patrol was first to arrive on scene and found a Good Samaritan boat assisting the 2 persons aboard the boat taking on water. The disabled boat was towed into Godfrey Point State Launch preventing it from sinking in the lake. One female party was evaluated by North Shore Ambulance and then released. The incident was investigated by the Marine Patrol and found the boat to be in compliance with all laws. The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Cleveland Fire Water Rescue, Sylvan Beach Water Rescue , North Shore Ambulance and New York State ENCON Police.
