On Wednesday August 07, 2019 at approximately 1:30p.m. there was a single vehicle crash involving a motorcycle on the Route 8 Southbound ramp to Route 12 Southbound in the Town of Deerfield.

According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, on Wednesday August 07, 2019, at around 1:30 p.m. Dale Allcorn, 35 years old, of Utica, was involved in a motorcycle crash on Route 8 in the Town of Deerfield. According to Maciol, Allcorn was operating his 2004 Harley Davidson motorcycle, traveling southerly on the Route 8 Southbound ramp to Route 12 Southbound, on the wet roadway. Allcorn lost control of the motorcycle on the wet pavement and was ejected.

Allcorn suffered minor injures and was transported by Kunkel Ambulance to St. Elizabeth's Hospital for a medical evaluation.

The Oneida County Sheriff's Office was assisted on the scene by the Deerfield Fire Department, Kunkel Ambulance and the New York State Police.
