The investigation into this accident determined K. Mcallistersam (20) of Staten Island NY was operating a black BMW sedan westbound on New Floyd Road when he approached the intersection of River Rd in the City of Rome. Mcallistersam veered right at the intersection to travel west on River Road when his vehicle crossed over into the eastbound lane colliding head on with a gray Dodge Caravan driven by Gerald Tennant (65) of Rome. Tennant was traveling eastbound on River Road prior to the collision. Mcallistersam and his passenger Gregory Grant (20) from Brooklyn NY where transported by Amcare Ambulance to Rome Memorial Hospital for minor injuries. Tennant was uninjured as a result of the accident, however his two passengers, Bonnie Tennant (63) and Angel Tennant (8) both of Rome, were also transported by Amcare Ambulance to Rome Memorial Hospital for minor injuries. Mcallistersam was issued citations for failing to stop at a stop sign, failing to maintain lane, failing to reduce speed for the turn and a uninspected motor vehicle and is due back at Rome City Court on a later date to answer the citations.
