According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol; On Saturday August 17th, 2019 at approximately 9:55PM Deputies responded to Marble Road in the Town of Vernon for a domestic dispute. Investigation revealed that Jonathan A. Surprenant, 18 of Utica who was not on scene when Deputies arrived, violated a stay away order of protection. Deputies later located Surprenant and took him into custody for criminal contempt in the 2nd degree. Surprenant was transported to the Oneida County Sheriff's Office for processing and then brought to Oneida County Correctional Facility to await central arraignment. The New York State Police assisted with this investigation.
