According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, two people were transported to the hospital following a motor vehicle accident. On 08/23/2019 at 8:11 AM, Gina Hafizey, age 40, of Bainbridge, NY, was operating her 2011 Hyundai Accent, north on Route 46 in the Town of Verona, when she ran a red light at the Route 31 intersection. Hafizey then collided with a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado, being operated by Anthony Sasso Jr, age 71, of Bridgeport, NY. Both drivers were evaluated on scene by Durhamville FD and transported to Oneida Healthcare by Vineall ambulance for minor injuries. Hafizey was issued traffic summons for failing to stop at a red light and aggravated unlicensed operation 3rd degree. She is scheduled to appear in Verona Town Court on September 17. Will
