​According to Oneida County Sheriff, Robert Maciol a female juvenile was sent to Oneida City Hospital for an evaluation following a 2 car minor motor vehicle on Route 5 in the Town of Westmoreland. An investigating Patrol Deputy on scene determined that a 2008 Ford SUV, driven by Todd Hitchings (20) of Seneca St.Oneida, NY struck a second vehicle, a 2016 Chevy driven by, Amanda Hatalla (36) of Mosquito Rd. Munnsville, NY. Hitchings’ moved from the passing lane to the driving lane and failed to gain sufficient space before moving over and sideswiped the front of Hatalla’s car as they both were traveling west on Route 5. An 8 year old female in Hatalla’s car was treated on the scene by Westmoreland Fire Dept. and transported to the hospital by Central Oneida County Ambulance.
