According to Oneida County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Derrick O’Meara, Director of the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center, a seventeen year old male, and a fifteen year old male were arrested for having sexual intercourse with a sixteen year old female in August 2019. Oneida County Sheriff’s Office Investigator Ryan Marshall, assigned to the Child Advocacy Center, arrested both males on 08/31/19 after a month long investigation. The seventeen year old male was issued an appearance ticket for Sexual Misconduct, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child, both class A Misdemeanors. He is scheduled to appear in Utica City Court for his arraignment on a later date. The fifteen year old male was issued an appearance ticket for the same charges, and has been referred to Juvenile Probation due to his age. An order of protection was requested on behalf of the victim. The victim has been offered counseling services through the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center.
