On Wednesday, Sheriff Maciol joined County Executive Picente, Chairman Fiorini, and some of the members of the Oneida County Board of Legislators as they introduced a local law that will establish a snowmobiling season in Oneida County and prohibit leaving marked trails and riding on closed trails.

With more than 650 miles of groomed snowmobile trails in our county, nearly all of which is on privately owned property, it is imperative that we work cooperatively with all of our snowmobile clubs to protect and respect the lands that these owners so kindly allow the trails to be on.
