Higginsville Rd bridge T/Verona According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol the Sheriff’s Office Marine Patrol was requested to assist the NYS DOT and NYS Canal Corp with an imminent bridge collapse over the NYS Canal. The Marine Patrol is on scene assuring boats do not go under the bridge. The NYS DOT , NYS Canal Corp, Oneida County Emergency Services and Oneida DPW are also on scene. Sylvan Beach Fire Department boat did assist Oneida County Marine Patrol with shutting down canal traffic, they have been released at this time.
