According to the Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol; On September 5th, 2019 at approximately 08:40 PM Deputies responded to County Highway 50 in the Town of Verona for a single car/pedestrian motor vehicle accident.

An investigation revealed that Terry ​Depasquale, 57 of Verona was driving her 2006 Chevy Trailblazer Southbound on County Highway 50 when she struck a pedestrian, Jill Tietjen, 54 of Verona. The investigation also revealed that Tietjen was on the roadway to retrieve her dog that got loose from the home when she was struck by Depasquale.

Tietjen was transported to Rome Memorial Hospital by a private party where she was treated for minor injuries and she is in a stable condition.

No tickets were issued.
