According to Oneida County Sheriff's Office Chief Deputy Derrick O'Meara, Director of the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center, a Rome man has been arrested for having inappropriate contact with several underage females inside the City of Rome.

Oneida County Sheriff's Investigator Mark R. Chrysler began the investigation in July of this year and during the course of the investigation a total of three female children were identified, ages 12, 14 and 15 years old. The contact the male had with these children were sexual in nature.

On September 10, 2019, Investigator Chrysler and Sheriff's Investigator Ryan Marshall arrested 17 year old Dylan Shalna for 4 counts of Sexual Misconduct, 1 count of Sexual Abuse 2nd, and 3 counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, all of which are Misdemeanors.

Shalna was transported to the Oneida County Sheriff's Office where he was processed and is awaiting arraignment at Centralized Arraignment Court located at the Oneida County Jail.

An Order of Protection was requested on behalf of all 3 victims, and they have been offered counseling services through the Child Advocacy Center.
