According to Oneida County Sheriff, Robert Maciol; On September 11, 2019 at about 1051 AM, Deputies responded to Rome Taberg Rd near the intersection of Humaston Rd in the City of Rome for a reported one car motor vehicle accident. Upon arrival, Deputies determined that Darius Seaton (21), of Camden, NY, was operating a grey Dodge Ram 1500 on Rome Taberg Rdwestbound. Seaton’s vehicle moved from the lane unsafely crossing the hazard marking and struck the end of the guide rail on the North shoulder of the roadway causing heavy damage to the vehicle and guide rail. Seaton was taken from the scene to Rome Hospital to be evaluated for back pain. Seaton was issued a citation for driving across hazard markings returnable to City of Rome court at a later date.

The Oneida County Sheriff's Office were assisted on scene by the Rome Fire Department and AmCare Ambulance.
