According to Oneida County Sheriff's Office Chief Deputy Derrick O'Meara, Director of the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center, a Utica man was arrested today, September 27, 2019 for sexually abusing a female child under the age of eleven while in the City of Utica. Utica Police Investigator F. Bruzzese and Oneida County Sheriff’s Office Investigator C.J. Paravati, both of whom are assigned to the CAC, arrested Gil Torres, age 28, for Criminal Sexual Act in the First Degree, a Class B Felony. Torres was arraigned at Utica City Court and sent to Oneida County Correctional Facility on $50,000 bail. An order of protection has been requested on behalf of the victim. The victim has been offered counseling services through the Child Advocacy Center.
