According to Sheriff Robert Maciol, on September 30, 2019, the Sheriff’s Office was contacted late afternoon by the Special Patrol Officer assigned to the VVS school regarding a possible threat that was made on a school bus by a student. The Sheriff’s Office immediately launched an investigation. Deputies interviewed all parties involved including the alleged juvenile suspect. The Sheriff’s Office investigation determined the threat was not credible. No criminal charges have been filed at this time. At no time were students or any other school officials in danger.
