According to Oneida County Chief Deputy Derrick O'Meara, who is the Director of the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center, 5 juveniles have been arrested in connection with several sex offenses that occurred in the beginning of May, 2019.

The case was assigned to Sheriff's Investigator Mark Chrysler, who began the investigation on May 4, 2019. It was reported that on the day prior, being May 3rd, 2019, an 11 year old female was subjected to unwanted sexual contact by several juvenile males. The incident occurred in the city of Utica and the Child Advocacy Center was assisted in this investigation by the Utica Police Department.

The investigation lasted several months and on October 3, 2019, Inv Chrysler and Deputy Przybyla arrested 5 juveniles, four males and one female, on a total of 7 different charges, ranging from Sexual Misconduct to Making a False Written Statement. All the charges are Misdemeanors and the juveniles have all been issued appearance tickets returnable to Juvenile Probation.

An Order of Protection has been requested and the 11 year old victim has been offered counseling services provided through the Child Advocacy Center.
