According to Oneida County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Derrick O’Meara, Director of the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center, a Utica woman was arrested on 10/17/19, for Assault in the Second Degree, a Class D Felony. The 18 year old femalewas arrested by Utica Police Investigator Frederick Bruzzese III and Oneida County Sheriff’s Office Investigator C.J. Paravati, both of whom are assigned to the Child Advocacy Center. According to Investigator Bruzzese, on or around 10/15/19, while inside their residence in the City of Utica, the 18 year old female forcibly grabbed her 8-monthold child by the arm, causing the child to sustain a fractured left arm. The child was treated at St. Luke’s Hospital for his injuries. The Utica Police Department and Child Protective Servicesmembers assigned to the Child Advocacy Center also assisted in this investigation. The female was held at the Utica Police Department pending arraignment at Utica City Court. An order of protection was requested on behalf of the victim
