Personal Injury Motor Vehicle Accident, T/Vernon UPDATE

According to Oneida County Sheriff, Robert M. Maciol, on 11/02/2019 at approximately 1:26 AM, Oneida County Sheriff Deputies and the Criminal Investigation Unit responded to a one car, serious personal injury motor vehicle accident that occurred on Route 26 in the Town of Vernon. Upon arrival at the scene, some of the occupants were located outside of the vehicle preventing deputies from immediately being able to identify the driver of the vehicle.

All occupants were transported by ambulance to area hospitals for serious injuries. Occupying the vehicle was, Katelyn Griffith, 16 of Remsen, NY, Christian M. Lasher, 17, of Vernon, NY, Jaden R. Davies, 17 of Rome, NY, Tobias W. Kampf, 17 of Vernon, NY and Jacob Lewis, 18 of Verona, NY.

The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office is working to reconstruct the accident and identify the driver of the vehicle. The investigation into this matter is ongoing.
