On November 26, 2019 at approximately 7:52amdeputies responded to the Rome Walmart located at 5815 Rome Taberg Rd in the City of Rome for a Domestic incident. During the investigation, Jason Vincent, age 40, of Camden was arrested for violating an Order of Protection. It was reported that Vincent followed a female victim into the store yelling profanities at her, while have a stay away order of protection against him. Vincent then left the scene and was later located at a residence in Taberg. He was taken into custody without incident and during the arrest Vincent was found to be in possession of quality of methamphetamine. The investigation also found a previous incident occurred in the Town of Vienna on 11/22/2019, where Vincent followed the same victim in his car. Vincent was charged with two counts of Criminal Contempt in the 2nd degree and one count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th degree, all class A misdemeanors. The New York State Police assisted with investigation. Vincent was arraigned in Rome City Court and committed to the Oneida County Jail on $500.00 dollar bail.
