According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, a Blossvale women was sent to St. Elizabeth's Medical Center for an evaluation following a 1 car motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Wilson Rd. and Wells Gifford Rd. in the Town of Vernon. Jodie L. Ackermann, age 52 from Blossvale, NY was sent to St. Elizabeth's after the 2019 Hyundai Elantra that she was operating slid through the intersection and struck a tree on the shoulder of Wells Gifford Rd. Ackermann was assisted from her vehicle by members from the Vernon Center Fire Department and then transported to St. Elizabeth hospital for treatment by Central Oneida County Volunteer Ambulance. Ms. Ackerman's front seat passenger, Jane Stimpson, age, 68 from Camden, NY was not injured during the accident.
