According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert M. Maciol, at approximately 0643 Hrs on 02/06/2020 a two car motor vehicle crash occurred on Route 69 in the Town of Whitestown. The crash occurred when Bradlee S. Durant, age 29 of Utica, NY was operating a red Subaru eastbound on Route 69. Durant lost control of the Subaru and entered the westbound lane where the vehicle was struck by a black Mitsubishi being operated by Kandi M. Williamson, age 42 of Oriskany, NY. Durant’s passenger, William R. Evans, age 33 of Utica, NY has died as a result of the motor vehicle accident. Durant and Williamson were both transported to St. Elizabeth’s hospital by Central Oneida County Ambulance for injuries that do not appear to be life threatening. The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Unit and Patrol Deputies are working to reconstruct the motor vehicle crash and the investigation into the matter is ongoing. No tickets have been issued at this time. The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Oriskany Fire Department, Central Oneida County Ambulance, Whitestown Police Department and Oriskany Police Department.
