According to the Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, on February 6th, 2020 around 10:35 AM Deputies responded to a two car motor vehicle accident on State Route 5 in the Town of Kirkland. Deputies determined Rebeccah Philipson (23) of Saquoit was operating a 2019 gray Jeep Compas in a Northerly direction on Kirkland Ave. Rebeccah then failed to obey the traffic control device at the stop light, which had turned red, at the intersection of Kirkland Ave and State Route 5 as she attempted to head west bound on State Route 5. Rebeccah was then struck on the driver side front fender by Joshua Randall (31) of Deansboro who was operating a light colored 2005 Subaru Legacy and traveling in an easterly direction on State Route 5. Joshua had one passenger; Brandy Randall (29) of Deansboro, who sustained no injuries while Joshua suffered from minor chest pain. Joshua was transported by AmCare Ambulance to St. Luke's to be treated for his injuries. Rebeccah was not injured and was issued a ticket for disobeying a traffic control device and is to appear in Kirkland Town Court at a later date and time. Deputies were assisted on scene by members of the Kirkland Fire Department.
