According to Oneida County Sheriff, Robert Maciol; On February 22, 2020 at about 1108AM, Deputies responded to Route 46 at the intersection of Gifford Hill Road in the Town of Western for a reported two car motor vehicle accident. Upon arrival, Deputies determined that Tracy Beck (50) of Whitesboro, NY, was operating a Chevy Tahoe Eastbound on Gifford Hill road coming from Main Street when she made a leftturn onto Route 46 Northbound. Beck’s vehicle pulled out in front of a Chevy Pick-up Truck operated by a Neil Gozalkowski(57) of Watertown NY. Gozalkowski was unable to stop in timeto avoid the collision and struck Beck’s vehicle. Beck’s vehicle was occupied by herself and one passenger with no injuries. Gozalkowski’s vehicle was occupied by himself and one passenger. Gozalkowski’s passenger, David Baslow (56), was transported to Saint Elizabeth’s Hospital to be evaluated for a head injury sustained in the accident. Beck was issued a Traffic Citation for Failure to Yield to oncoming traffic.
