According to the Oneida County Sheriff, Robert Maciol, Deputies investigated an accident involving a tractor trailer. The accident caused a closure to State Route 26, in the Town of Lee, for several hours. The tractor trailer was operated by Casey Seamans ,40, of Rome NY. While traveling south bound on State Route 26, Mr. Seamans, failed to maintain his lane of travel, causing the tractor trailer to go into an embankment, off the roadway, striking a Town of Boonville utility pole. Mr. Seamans was not injured during the accident. Mr. Seamans was issued a traffic citation, returnable to the Town of Lee Court, to appear at a later date. State Route 26 in the Town of Lee is now open for travel.
