According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, there was a police presence on Route 49 in the Town of Marcy around 4:00 pm this afternoon. Sheriff Deputies received a report from a motorist operating on Route 49 that they witnessed a motor vehicle parked out in a field along Route 49. The passerby reported that they saw a male outside of the vehicle and stated that they observed the male remove an unknown object from his vehicle. Oneida County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted a thorough search of the area on foot and were also assisted at the scene by the Oneida County Sheriff’s Drone Unit. The scene is clear and no illegal activity was found to have taken place.
