According to Oneida County Sheriff's Office Chief Deputy Derrick O'Meara, Director of the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center(CAC), a Clinton man was arrested by the CAC today, March 20, 2020 for having sexual contact with a 15 year old female child, in the Town of Westmoreland on more than one occasion between the dates of November 29, 2019 and March of 2020. Eric Bertini, age 43, was arrested by Oneida County Sheriff's Office Sergeant Melissa Bolton and Investigator Nicholas Dean, both of whom are assigned to the CAC. Bertini was charged with two counts of Sexual Abuse in the Third Degree, a Class B Misdemeanor and two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a Class A Misdemeanor. Bertini is being held at the Oneida County Correctional Facility awaiting arraignment at Oneida County Centralized Arraignment Court this evening. An order of protection has been requested on behalf of the victim. The victim has been offered services through the Child Advocacy Center.
