None of the 11 Inmates Released Experiencing Flu-like Symptoms

According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, on March 27, 2020, at the direction of the New York State Division of Parole, the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office facilitated the ordered release of 11 incarcerated individuals who were held as Parole Violators, from the Oneida County Jail. The inmates released were interviewed individually and none had experienced any flu-like symptoms upon their release or during their time at the jail. There are no COVID-19 cases in the Oneida County Jail.

Of the 11 parole violators that were released, two of them are classified as sex offenders, one of which was released this weekend from the jail with an electronic monitoring device.
