Sheriff’s Office Provides Updates On Business Complaints

After a Sheriff’s Office special detail began investigating dozens of complaints regarding businesses not following the Governor’s Executive Order, Sheriff Robert Maciol reports spot checks of several businesses were conducted this week with formal and written warning notices being issued to (2) two businesses. These two businesses operate as bar / restaurants.

According to Sheriff Maciol, the businesses that the Sheriff’s Office receives complaints on and the businesses that are issued formal & written warning notices, will not be identified. Only those formally charged by the Sheriff’s Office will be publicly identified. It is the goal through public education, spot checks, and warning notices to not have to formally charge any business. These efforts are conducted in order to get all businesses into compliance to stop the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

The Sheriff’s Office will provide a regular update regarding their monitoring of those who are allegedly violating the Governor’s Executive Order.
