According to Oneida County Sheriff, Robert Maciol one individual suffered a traumatic injury just off of Hoag Road in the City of Rome.

At approximately 1215 hours on April 24th, 2020 ajuvenile, age 17 from Verona was walking with three friends just off of Hoag Road when the juvenile accidently fell off of an embankment 40-50 feet onto the railroad tracks. The juvenile was transported by Mercy Flight to Syracuse Hospital to be treated for a leg injury. The injury appears to not be life threatening.

Rome Fire Department was assisted on scene by members of the Oneida County Sheriff's Office, New York State Police, and AmCare Ambulance.
