An inmate at the Oneida County Correctional Facility was arrested for striking another inmate. According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, on February 21st Deronn Pool 24 of Utica punched another inmate in the face causing a laceration to the inside of the inmate’s mouth which required stitches. Pool was charged by Sheriff’s Investigators with assault in the 2nd degree, a class D felony. He was arraigned and remanded back to the jail. He is scheduled to return to court for a felony hearing at a later date.
