According to the Oneida County Sheriff Robert M. Maciol, a Trenton woman was arrested for Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

On 04/26/2020 at or about 8:25 PM, Deputies responded to 12 Mapledale Acers in the Town of Trenton, on a Check the Welfare complaint. The third-party caller advised the 911 center that there were three children ages 13,11,6 by themselves at the residence in unhealthy and unlivable conditions. The investigation revealed that Amanda J. Martin which is the mother of the three children has been neglecting, maltreating those three children.

On 04/27/2020 at or about 11:00 AM, Deputies were able to locate Amanda J. Martin in the area of Starr Hill Road in the Town of Steuben. Martin was arrested without any incident while at that location. Martin was brought to the Law Enforcement Building in Oriskany where she was booked and processed for three counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child under the age of 17 (Class A Misdemeanor). Martin was then transported to the Oneida County Jail awaiting arraignment.

The CPS was notified about the incident. Deputies were assisted on scene by the NY State Police.
