According to Oneida County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Derrick O'Meara, who is the Director of the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center, a Utica man has been arrested after having sexual contact with a female child.

Sheriff’s Investigator Nicholas Dean who is assigned to the Child Advocacy Center, began investigating the case on April 27, 2020.

During the investigation, it was found that Willie Green, age 59, a level 3 sex offender, had sexual contact with a 13-year-old female child in a Utica home, over the course of the past year.

On April 30, 2020, Investigator Dean and Investigator Mark Chrysler, with the assistance of UPD Investigator Serif Seferagic, located and arrested Green.

Green was processed at the Utica Police Department and held to await arraignment.

Green was charged with two counts of Rape in the First Degree, a Class B Felony, and one count of Criminal Sexual Act in the Second Degree, a Class D Felony.

An Order of Protection is being requested on behalf of the victim and services have been offered through the Child Advocacy Center.
