According to Oneida County Sheriff, Robert M, Maciol, a 32 year old man was arrested at Union Station in the City of Utica for trespassing and resisting arrest.

At approximately 12:50 pm Train staff informed the Special Police Officers that John Whitehead (32) of Utica was trespassing on a train. John had jumped onto the train while it was moving and train staff stopped the train. SPOs attempted to get Mr. Whitehead off the train but he refused. SPOs advised him that he was under arrest and while attempting to place Whitehead under arrest he began to resist SPOs and was taken to the ground and placed in handcuffs. Whitehead suffered minor injuries but refused medical.

Deputies were assisted by Utica Police Department and Whitehead was taken to Oneida County Jail to be held for Pre-arraignment. No SPOs were injured during the incident.
