According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert M. Maciol, on Saturday May 23, 2020, at about 7:08 P.M., Deputies responded to 2015 Hanover Road in the Town of Marshall for a reported ATV accident. Investigation into the accident determined that William M. Owens Sr, was operating a green 2002 Honda ATV on private property, when he attempted to make a turn and lost control, subsequently causing the ATV to overturn. Owens and a juvenile passenger were both ejected from the ATV. Owens was taken to St. Elizabeth’s hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The juvenile passenger was signed off at the scene following an evaluation. Both operator and passenger were wearing helmets. No tickets issued. Sheriff’s Deputies were assisted on scene by the Waterville Fire Department and Central Oneida County Ambulance.
