According to Oneida County Sheriff, Robert M. Maciol the Sheriff's Office was dispatched to a boat accident around 12:05 PM today on Oneida Lake in the Town of Vienna. It was reported that in the area in the water off Drive 17 a father son were involved in a boat accident. The Sheriff's Office Marine Patrol responded to conduct the investigation.

Ajay Aggarwal, 63 from India has died after riding on a Personal Water Craft (PWC) with his son, Nikunj Aggarwal, 31 of Jersey City NJ. The two males were riding on a 2019 Sea Doo Spark Jetski when the males fell off into the water. The operator, Nikunj was able to get back onto the PWC but his father, Ajay was not successful and when he attempted too the PWC flipped over putting Nikunj back into the water. Witnesses on shore were able to get into a boat and get to the males pulling both on board. The incident is still under investigation and no citations have been issued. Both males did have life jackets on at the time of the incident.

Assisting on scene were members of the Cleveland Fire Department and North Shore Ambulance. The Onondaga County Medical Examiners Office responded to the scene and an autopsy will be completed.
