According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, on May 30, 2020 a Rome man was arrested for a domestic incident that occurred on May 28, 2020 in the Town of Lee.

On May 29, 2020 Deputies responded to a business on Turin Rd. in the Town of Lee for a reported domestic incident where property was damaged. I was determined that a Michael J. Mcclendon, age 40, from Rome, NY, went to the business, damaged electrical and fuel lines to a generator and while doing so violated a stay away order of protection that was in effect for a protected party who owns the business on Turin Rd. Michael was not located on the 29th.

On May 30, 2020, Michael turned himself in at the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office and was charged with Criminal Contempt in the Second Degree and Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree, both are Class A Misdemeanors. Michael was booked at the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office and transported to Oneida County Jail for pre-arraignment detention. Michael will be arraigned on both charges on May 31th, 2020.
