According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, a Taberg man was arrested on June 3, 2020 for assault after a verbal dispute led to a stabbing.

Michael A. Edick, age 59, from Martin Court in Taberg was arrested after an verbal dispute escalated and he stabbed Cody J. Cadrette, age 27, two times with a folding pocket knife. Cadrette sustained stab wounds to the lower abdomen and upper chest area. He was transported to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital for treatment by AmCare Ambulance. His wounds are not considered life threatening at this time.

Edick was arrested at his residence and transported to the sheriff’s office. He was processed on the charge of assault in the second degree, a class D felony and held at the Oneida County Jail pending arraignment when court is in session.
