According to Oneida County Sheriff's Office Chief Deputy Derrick O'Meara, Director of the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center(CAC), a Utica man was arrested by members of the CAC on 6/11/2020.

Angel Ortega Jr., age 30, was arrested by OCSO Sergeant M. Bolton and Utica PD Investigator Titus Ciccone for Sexual Abuse in the First Degree, a Class D Felony.

A CAC investigation was commenced in May 2020, which found that Ortega Jr. had subjected a female child less than 11 years old, to sexual contact on an ongoing basis from 2017 until 2018, while in the City of Utica.

Ortega Jr. will be arraigned at the Oneida County Centralized Arraignment Court and an order of protection has been requested on behalf of the Victim.

The Victim has been offered services through the Child Advocacy Center.
