According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, a 12 year old boy was injured in an ATV accident. On 06/20/2020 at about 12:39pm, Deputies responded to a residence on OBrien Rd in the Town of Westmoreland for a personal injury ATV accident. The 12 year old boy, who's name will not be released due to his age, was operating an Akura 200 CC ATV in the front yard of the residence, when the 12 year old swerved the ATV to avoid striking a younger sibling who was standing in the yard. The swerving action made the ATV overturn and ejected the 12 year old boy. The 12 year old boy suffered minor injuries to his head and back. He was wearing a protective helmet. He was treated on scene by members of the Westmoreland Fire Dept and transported to St. Elizabeth's ER for further treatment by COCVAC Ambulance.
