According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert M. Maciol, on June 19th, 2020 at approximately 1:30 P.M., Deputies were dispatched to the Carpet Time Trailer Park, located at 11722 State Route 12, in the Town of Boonville, for a dispute in progress. Deputies on scene investigation concluded that Dante Leigh (19YO), of Boonville New York, had struck Lawrence Harvey (49YO), also a resident of Boonville New York, with his mothers vehicle during landlord and tenant dispute. Harvey sustained non-life threatening injuries to the back of his left leg, mid to upper right arm, and right side of his face. Harvey was evaluated on scene by Boonville Fire Department, and refused further treatment/evaluation. Leigh was placed under arrest, and issued an appearance ticket for the charge of Reckless Endangerment in the 2nd degree, a class A misdemeanor, under New York State Penal Law Section 120 subsection 20. The appearance ticket issued to Leigh was returnable to Boonville Town Court at a later date. The Sheriffs Office was assisted on scene by the New York State Police, Boonville Ambulance Company, and the Boonville Fire Department.
