According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, the Kirkland Police Department along with the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office are currently investigating a death in the Town of Kirkland. At approximately 7:00 AM on June 30, 2020, the Oneida County 911 Center received reports of a male deceased in the Oriskany Creek. The adult male was located and recovered by the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office Dive Team in the water in the vicinity of the bridge on Main Street in Clark Mills. The Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating the cause and manner of death and at this time there does not appear to be anything suspicious.
