According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, a Town of New Hartford man has been arrested for Assault. At approximately 2:00 AM on July 10, 2020, the Kirkland Police Department along with the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the Village Tavern located on College Street in the Village of Clinton for a reported stabbing. Upon arrival, two adult male victims were located with apparent stab wounds. One of the males sustained a stab wound to the facial area and the second male sustained two stab wounds to the abdomen area. Both males were transported to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital where they were treated and released. A suspect was identified and at approximately 8:15 AM, members of the Sheriff’s Office Patrol Unit, Criminal Investigation Unit and Warrants Unit located Jason M. Allen, 38, at his residence in the Town of New Hartford. Allen was taken into custody and transported to the Sheriff’s Office for processing. Allen was charged with Assault in the Second Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree, both D Felonies. Allen was held at the Oneida County Correctional Facility pending an arraignment at CAP Court.
