According to Sheriff Robert Maciol, a Leonardsville girl sustained minor injuries in a one car accident on Rt 20 in the Town of Bridgewater.

As investigated and reported by Deputy B. Warcup, Kirsty Dowd, 16, of Leonardsville, complained of a sore head after she was riding as a passenger in the vehicle driven by 17 year old Marshall Fire-Hoke, also of Leonardsville, which crashed on Rt 20 in the Town of Bridgewater. Fire-Hoke was operating a 2001 Honda in an easterly direction on Rt 20, when he said he fell asleep. Fire-Hoke's vehicle crossed the westbound lane of Rt 20 and left the northern shoulder, where it impacted an earthen embankment, causing the vehicle to go up and over it. Dowd stated she was asleep when the accident happened and was unsure how she sustained the injury. Both airbags deployed as a result of the crash. The Sheriff's Office was assisted on scene by members of the Bridgewater FD, and NYSP. Dowd was transported to the hospital by Edwards Ambulance. Fire-Hoke was issued summons for Failure to Keep Right and Operating out of Restrictions, both of which are returnable in Bridgewater Town Court at a later date.
