According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, a Camden man was arrested again and charged with a second vehicle arson that occurred in the Village of Camden.

Taylor B. Sharron, age 24, was arrested and charged with arson after a 1997 GMC Safari Van was set on fire while parked in the public parking lot located at 50 Main Street in the Village of Camden on July 22, 2020 in the early morning hours. After the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office investigation it was determined that the vehicle was intentionally damaged by fire.

Sharron is charged with one count of Arson in the 3rd degree, a class C felony, for destroying the vehicle by fire. Sharron is currently in the Custody of the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office awaiting the arraignment at CAP Court on this charge.

Sharron was arraigned on another Arson charge on July 23, 2020, after being arraigned on that charge he was Released on his Own Recognizance at approximately 11:30AM, and is set to appear in Court at a later date.

The sheriff’s office is also currently investigating several other vehicle fires that were found to have occurred in the Village of Camden in the early morning hours of July 22, 2020.
