Sheriff Maciol sincerely thanks NYS Assemblywoman Marianne Buttenschon for bringing NYS Assembly Majority Leader Crystal D. Peoples - Stokes to the Mohawk Valley Police Academy today so that she could see, first hand, the commitment, integrity, and dedication of the Sheriff’s Office and the Utica Police Department when it comes to exceeding the training requirements set forth by the State of New York. With both of our agencies being co-administrators of the Mohawk Valley Police Academy, along with both agencies being fully accredited by the State of New York Division of Criminal Justice Services, we are operating at the highest standards set forth by the NYS Division of Criminal Justice Services. Sheriff Maciol would like to personally thank the Majority Leader for taking the time out of her busy day to travel to Utica to meet with us.
