According to Sheriff Robert Maciol, of the Oneida County Sheriff's Office, on July 27, 2020 at about 6:48pm, there was a serious motor vehicle accident on Moose River Rd in the Town of Boonville causing the road to be closed from traffic. The driver Kevin M. Carter, 20 years old of Utica was operating his 2015 Toyota Corolla Northbound on Moose River Rd when he lost control of the vehicle and collided with a tree. Carter and his two juvenile passengers were air lifted from the scene to Upstate Medical Center for injuries sustained as a result of this collision. Both Cater and the two juveniles are stable at this time. The Oneida County Sheriffs Office was assisted on scene by the New York State Police, Boonville Fire Department, Boonville Ambulance, Mercy Flight, and Eli Auto & Towing The accident is under reconstruction and investigation. Please avoid the area.
